What it is
Acupuncture is a Chinese medicine treatment in which fine, sterile needles are placed at specific points on the body. I choose the points from a Chinese medicine diagnosis and from what brings you in.
I mostly use acupuncture for women’s health, fertility support, and pain and orthopedic problems. Where it helps, I combine it with herbal medicine, cupping or tuina.
What a session looks like
- A short talk about what has changed since last time
- Pulse and tongue diagnosis, as in Chinese medicine
- Acupuncture while you lie comfortably; the needles stay in while you rest
- A short wrap-up and planning the next step
